Many people choose to sell their homes on their own, and some are even successful with the task. Is it the best option for you, though?

Today I am going to talk about a question that maybe you have heard: “Should I sell my house on my own?” You certainly can try on your own, but I have three things for you to consider.

The first thing to consider is do you have the time? It is a 24-hour-a-day, 7-days-a-week job. I cannot imagine trying to sell my house, but there are people who do it successfully. I would just caution you that, in this market, there is currently an abundance of buyers and not enough houses. I think that this makes the job twice as hard.

The second thing you should think about is negotiating skills. You will need to be able to negotiate, which is why I would recommend you use an agent. Agents are highly skilled and trained to negotiate contracts on behalf of the buyer and the seller.

The third thing to consider is their experience. There are no two transactions that are exactly the same. While some components are the same, little details about the contract could cost you thousands and thousands of dollars. At White & Associates, we come together and talk about the details of every transaction, so we don't miss anything.

We strive to give our clients a competitive advantage. If you would like to talk more about why you should hire us instead of selling your home alone, please reach out by phone or email. We look forward to speaking with you.
